Rubbermaid 3749 Vertical Storage Shed, 17-cubic ft Review

I did a lot of looking around before I chose this storage unit. I wanted something sturdy and weatherproof that I could lock up and put out across the parking lot of the townhouse apartments that I live in. Not enough room on the patio for storage. This went together well, after I read the instructions and is holding up great so far. I drilled 2 small holes to run a u shaped hook through the back and caulked it so I could chain it to a fence back there. So far it is doing well with some very heavy rain, high winds and hot sun. It doesn't come with the shelves anymore, but I bought a plain wire shelf from rubbermaid's closet series that fits in there fine. I have lawn chairs and a trimmer and some garden stuff on the bottom and then storage for other small things on top. This was a good value if you shop around for the best price and is made so much better than the cheaper brands that it is well worth it.

We loved this, and we had been looking for the right colander to fit all of our needs...size (large)...small enough holes...etc.This is a great concept, but in under a month, after 4-5 uses, the material had cracked at the expandable seams, and it is almost unusable now (noodles can fall out of the cracks now...though veggies can still be washed in it).

OXO Salad Spinner Review

I've avoided making salads for a long time because of the preparation time.I had an older salad spinner, but it was the kind you had to turn, and cleaning it afterwards always seemed to take a long time.This spinner is a huge improvement over any I've used before.
You put the rinsed greens in the strainer, or rinse them after they're in, and then put the strainer in the bowl.One easy push and it spins on its own and it does not move around at all on the counter.I have found that it takes a couple spins to dry them the way I like, but while the greens are spinning, you can be chopping up other salad ingredients.
Even better, you can lock the handle in the "down" position and use this spinner to store the unused greens in the fridge; no separate "lettuce saver" is needed.I've had leaf lettuce in mine for several days, and it is still crisp and fresh.Since buying this remarkable spinner, I've had salad every night.And enjoyed every minute of it, preparation included!

Suncast DCC3000 Cooler Review

I really like Suncast products, and since we do a lot of outdoor entertaining, this was a natural.It is huge (the whole unit is the size of a dishwasher) - holds 40 lbs of ice plus beverages.A bit short on insulation, so don't count on it lasting more than 6-8 hours.I do recommend tying a string to the plug so you can drain some of the water out to add more ice.It's way too cold to fish around with an ungloved hand.
The bottom storage will hold a full case of water bottles.Really handy when you've got a work crew to keep hydrated.Won't replace the Igloo for long-term chilling, but a much nicer alternative for entertaining.

Suncast 7'x7' Storage Building 311 cubic foot Review

The manual says the unit can be assembled in 90 minutes.Two of us were able to do so in 2 hours with no serious problems.There was one problem that was caused by a wrong part for the unit we assembled.One latch was manufactured as a "left-hand" rather than a "right-hand" part and would not snap into place.The problem was solvedby forcing it into place with the wrong orientation and attaching it with a couple of sheet metal screws.The only other minor problem was one warped ceiling panel that was difficult to install.The shed is sturdy and a good value for the dollars spent.The one we purchased was on sale item at Menard's.It came in two boxes easily transported in a pickup truck. The unit would be greatly improved if it came with a window kit or overhead sky light.

FoodSaver FSFSBF0316 Gallon Size Bags 11-Inches by 14-Inches, 13 Bags Review

If you want to store larger things and you have the foodsaver vacsaver this is the way to go. Cost wise its pretty much the same as the roll but you don't have to mess with cutting and sealing. Cutting it straight can be a real pain at times. Unless your doing something really custom these should be big enough. I got the rolls and the gallon bags and discovered most of the time I ended up cutting the rolls to the size of the bags.

After reading the reviews, I reluctantly ordered this power hose reel.Initially I experienced the same impossible task of trying to unwind the hose.

The problem was solved after charging the battery.I ran the reel empty of hose continuously for 30-40 minutes.This stretched and loosened the drive belt.

I then recharged the battery, and the hose reel now works perfectly.

I suggest not reeling the hose until you operate the reel for an extended time.

Oxo Good Grips 4-Cup Angled Measuring Cup Review

I have to admit I love this for the ease of measuring. The only draw back (and it's major for me) is that it doesn't pour well. The spout is too flat so the liquids just spill over the edge - ok if your pouring into a large bowl, but not if you need any degree of accuracy. I hope OXOs designers fix this soon, but I don't understand how they missed it in the first place. Such a major (and simple to fix) flaw.
